American Idol Top 6 Results Jessica Sanchez — Uhm, what just happened in there?
The results tonight on American Idol really gave a huge shock, even Ryan Seacrest and Nigel tweeted in advance.
Turns out the bottom 3 are Elise, Joshua, and…. Jessica?
Boo! The 16-year-old Fil-Mexican finalist Jessica Sanchez almost left the idol competition. Yesterday, she powered through the Jazmine Sullivan ballad Stuttering. And it turned out that this performance made her receive the fewest viewer votes.
But the saved was used!
Watch the save moment video of American Idol Top 7 elimination below as “Idol” judges rushed to the stage to save Sanchez before she could even finish her last-chance performance of Deborah Cox’s Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here.
Jennifer Lopez went mad, stole Jessica’s mic. “You’re not going home! This is ridiculous! We’re using the save!”. Randy added “This girl is one of the best singers in America — are you kidding me?! Everyone, please vote for the best!”
Bad news next week though. That means it will be two contestants who will get the boot.

She might eventually win this all…or NOT!
And now that the SAVE has been used once, and the real battle begins, 2 eliminations expected next week, and the cliffhanger continues!
JS is half Mexican and should be supported by the large Latino communities in the US. Most AI past winners were either White or Black, it’s about time an ethnic one emerges this time! And I don’t believe the competition should rely mainly in Text voting. It should be left for the judges to do the final determination in asserting who the real winner should be. The breakdown should be 40% Text Votes and 60% Judges Votes, fair and square! Agree?
I am so touched while see the save. It is not easy to compete with mainstream even though she was born here in the USA. she definitely got talent. As a minority, I am so proud of her. I hope u keep fight. show that even we are minority, we can make a difference.
I SELDOM APPRECIATE SINGERS OF DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES MAY BE IT A FILIPINO OR OTHERS BUT TO OUST A TALENTED ONE IS DAMN WRONG. THE JUDGES DID THE RIGHT THING AND ITS NOT FAVORITISM. IF MS. SANCHEZ WAS OUSTED THIS SHOW COULD BE A RACIST OR AMERICA CAN’T CLEARLY SEE SUCH TALENTS.
